Life has a way speeding up and slowing down. We are consistently trying to meet the demands of our schedules, agendas, and tasks. As a single woman pushing into the big 3-0, I know the importance of a balanced Work/Life but let’s be honest, it’s easy to fall short of the goals. Take, for example, last week after a long day of work I couldn’t muster the brain power of cooking and pull in the drive-through of Wendy’s. Fast Food was not part of the plan, neither was ordering a Junior Bacon Cheese Burger.
Everyday factors can disrupt good intentions and positive motivation. Unexpected daily issues can range from being to tear to workout to staying up past a decent bedtime. If you can’t make your usual yoga, gym or kickboxing class make sure to take a 15 to 30-minute break to walk during work. Work on your feet, try to incorporate stretching activities during your break. Minor movement every day will keep you motivated to the big ones.
Manage Stress
Stress can play a huge factor in how one can sustain real health. Many health issues related to heavy stress include Heart Disease, Diabetes, Obesity, Depression & Anxiety, are more. Do your best to control your level of stress. Consider mediation for 10 to 20 minutes or Tai Chi for the same amount of time.
Take On Daily Healthy Eating Habits
Never let fast food chains get in the way of your progress. In 2012 I found out that when I eat excessive amounts of bacon I would break out. I MISS BACON but I love myself, skin and healthy more so I replaced it with turkey bacon. I also cook more often, eat fruits as snacks and desserts and replace quick microwave meals with salads. It does wonder to your budget and health over time.
Trust In Some Digital Assistants
I invested in a FitBit a year ago and I love it. It helps track my steps, healthy achievement, and heart rate. Apps and other digital resources can guide you to make positive decisions with daily reminders. Check into apps like Calorie Counter, Instant Heart Rate, and Lifesum.
Take these tips to better meet the day and win. It’s the minor wins that will get you one step closer to healthy, radiant skin.
