I know I am the black sheep when it comes to using Korean beauty staples. What can I say? I love using products the community hasn’t heard about. Mamorade is no exception. I rarely hear about Mamonade in the news or the grapevine. So when I discovered Mamonade had launched a new line exclusively at Atrium I was pleasantly surprised. I was specifically searching for an emulsion and the Floral Hydro Emulsion Narcissus peaked my interest.
To give some insight into Mamonde, the brand inspires feminine beauty with flowers. It re-invents beauty from the amazing power and energy that derives from flowers. The strength of beauty can be discovered in flowers which in turn in translated to it numerous skincare lines. Each line comes with a multi-step routine all derived from the essence of flowers.
Hydrating Power of Floral Hydro
The Floral Hydro line comes in a 5 step including a cream, eye cream, toner, mist, and emulsion. For those who aren’t familiar with emulsion, it is the between the essences and serum step of a routine. Emulsions are lighter versions of moisturizing creams. Unlike most heavy facial creams, emulsions are typically water-based, which means they go on lighter and thinner than creams. In some cases, emulsions come in gel or almost-liquid forms.
This emulsion plays up the hype on hydration by starting off as a thin cream and goes on like water. It contains dual moisturization with water-soluble and oil-soluble hydrators. Oil-moisture balance in a watery texture that penetrates lightly as water without stickiness.
- Fast acting penetration to my skin.
- Extremely moisturizing
- Light application as it goes on
- Very layerable with other products
- Ability to dry out fast
- May need a second hydrating product
Final Thoughts & Score
While I feel I have to layer my regiment with it comes to hydration systems. The Floral Hydro Emulsion does work extremely well. I love how quickly it absorbs and works well into my skin. I am starting to believe I am not a huge fan emulsions and will lean more towards essences (not that much of a difference) but I will continue using this emulsion for the rest of the fall and winter.
