Even in sin city you can find a pretty amazing spa and I luck up to get comp tickets to one of the most notable in the big LV.
On the third floor of the resort like hotel, Vdara lies its spa, gym and salon ESPA. Just to give you an idea of how impressive this facility is, it was awarded by Forbes Travel Guide a prestigious Five-Star rating. BOOM! Now that’s impressive. The two-floor spa promises a “European heat experiences, taking you through a therapeutic journey of temperature changes and offering a multi-functional treatment room where you can retreat and enjoy a full day of pampering.” (ESPA website) Being there twice in one day I can assure it delivers on that promise. Let’s start at the beginning.
Nestled on the third floor of the hotel you enter a beautiful open space with the gym to the right and a salon to the right. A huge waterfall foundation passing the spiral stairs sits behind the reception counter. After checking in you wait for the spa specialist to come downstairs to give you a short tour of the facility.
Upstairs is a smaller reception room with fruit infusion water, tea, and light snacks. Once you give them a shoe size they take you to the changing area where you place your belongs in the locker and grab your robe and towels. Across the lockers is a stunning vanity area complete with style equipment and also stock with their exclusive spa product you are allowed to use.
The facility itself is clothing optional which made me so happy but it killed any more pictures being taken. Aesthetics this inner portion of the spa has round spa with gentle jacuzzi pumps going. Two heated marble lounge seats sat to the right of the spa pool and one dry and wet saunas. Both saunas were set and regulated at normal comfortable settings for any client to enjoy.
Of course, while they offered the facility to use at your leisure ESPA also carried a wide range of services and treatments to boot. From regular massages to the more exclusive ESPA Body Ritual. A full body treatment that after exfoliation Marine Algae or Mud wrap is applied and the scalp gently massaged. Once you have taken a refreshing shower, a tailor made aromatherapy massage takes place, leaving you with a sense of well-being, cleansed and revitalized. The next I visit Vegas I plan to have this treatment done.
Overall the experience was amazing. I ended up going a second time on the same day. Couldn’t let those free passes go to waste. I hope to experience it again. Vegas can be many things and most of the time relaxing isn’t one of them but if you ever get the chance to spend a day taking it easy then ESPA Spa is your destination.
*This was a complimentary review and the opinions are my own. For more on the spa check their website here. There are also several EPSA location in the US and International so finding your very own won’t be hard at all. It also gives pricing for their line of products. Happy Spa Day!
